The Evo steam generators have been certified as compliant with the AFNOR NF T72-110 standard and classified as S.D.D. (Steam Disinfection Devices).
The models compliant with the standard are Evo 304, Evo Blu and Evo Sanitizer.
These professional, compact, and user-friendly steam generators feature a 2.45 kW stainless steel boiler capable of producing saturated steam at temperatures of 165°C (6-bar model) or 174°C (8-bar model). They are also equipped with an automatic boiler refill system, ensuring continuous steam operation without interruption, as well as a self-cleaning float-based water level control system (True Temp).
To obtain certification of compliance with the standard, testing was carried out using two Tecnovap accessories: the Steam Mop and the July lance.
The Steam Mop, typically used for cleaning floors, walls, glass surfaces, and other smooth surfaces, features a height-adjustable telescopic handle and can be used with different types of microfiber cloths.
The July nozzle, on the other hand, is designed for detailed cleaning applications and allows operators to easily reach even the most difficult areas.
What does the AFNOR NF T72-110 standard cover?
AFNOR NF T72-110 is a French standard recognized at both European and international levels, defining the criteria and testing methods required to classify a steam generator as an S.D.D. (Steam Disinfection Device).
The standard evaluates the effectiveness of the process in ensuring bactericidal, fungicidal, yeasticidal, sporicidal, virucidal, and phagocidal activity in medical and food-processing environments.
Laboratory tests simulate real operating conditions: steam is applied to surfaces contaminated with both microorganisms and interfering substances, namely the typical dirt and organic residues found in the intended environment.
The tests were conducted at the VirHealth microbiology laboratory.
For compliance purposes, both “contact” and “non-contact” surface tests were performed, each designed to demonstrate a significant reduction in microbial load.
During the contact test, the Steam Mop accessory was operated at a constant speed of 10 cm/s. During the non-contact test, the July lance was maintained at a distance of 1.5 cm from the surface , also moving at a constant speed of 10 cm/s.
