Aldo Franchini marries Marina Marconi. After their marriage
Giuliano (in 1960) and Giuseppe (in 1963) are born.
Tecnovap is born in Valpolicella
FEBRUARY 1985 - Thanks to the innovative idea of joining two rounded stainless-steel lids, Giuliano Franchini creates the first prototype of a boiler with “T.I.G.” (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, which includes a replaceable heating element. These innovations represent a real revolution for the direct sales sector, offering for the first time a “lifetime warranty” for the boiler.

Giuseppe Franchini joins Tecnovap
Giuseppe Franchini starts to manage the production department and material procurement.
The first products are launched: Tresor, the first boiler with an iron, and Comby, a steam generator that combines ironing with the possibility of attaching steam cleaning accessories.
The Tecnovap trademark
A new logo depicting a rising sun appears on every product model and it becomes the Tecnovap trademark.
The payoff L’ Arte del Vapore accompanies the new logo, thus conveying Italian craftsmanship and creativity in the products that display it.
The company goes international and it enters the French market by exporting Glovap, a steam generator specifically designed for wallpaper removal.

First national trade show: Pulire Torino
First production lines at the former facility in Negrar di Valpolicella.
Tecnovap participates for the first time in the international trade fair Pulire in Turin, marking the beginning of exports across Europe.

July kit, Radames kit and the first Chattanooga
In 1993 the July kit is designed, developed, and patented, a set of uniquely designed accessories for steam surface cleaning. The following year, Tecnovap enters the industrial market and presents the Chattanooga Hi-Tech line at the international trade fair Interclean in Amsterdam.
The next year the Radames kit is developed—an essential and durable set of steam and vacuum accessories optimized for industrial use.

True Temp Technology
The True Temp electromechanical system is patented, it enables to control the water level thanks to a float mounted onto the boiler.
Aida Live is born
The Aida Live model is introduced, the first steam
and vacuum system with separable units which can be used simultaneously in different locations.
The system, combined with a HEPA filter, is tested by the University of Verona and is confirmed to be a complete cleaning tool, particularly indicated in capturing allergens.
New headquarters in Pescantina
From its humble beginnings in Valpolicella,
the company moves to a larger facility in Pescantina.
The Bacchus system and the stainless-steel range
Tecnovap participates in the Vinitaly exhibition with the new Bacchus line, designed for the wine industry.
At the Pulire fair in Verona, a new stainless-steel line is introduced, designed to meet the needs of the food, mechanical, and pharmaceutical industries.
Steam Mop: a certified system
The Steam Mop is tested in collaboration with the Hygiene and Medicine Department of the University of Verona, proving its effectiveness in reducing bacteria and viruses in a hospital setting.
Esteticar, the innovation in the car wash sector
At the Autopromotec trade fair in Bologna, Esteticar is presented. It is the first steam system ideal for the cleaning of the interiors and exteriors of vehicles.
25 years of business with further innovations
Tecnovap celebrates its 25th anniversary and presents Steam Pressure (nowadays Steam Power), an industrial steam generator with a revolutionary technology that combines steam with high-pressure water.
In the following years, the Evo line is launched, and quickly becomes a benchmark in the professional cleaning market, while Esteticar evolves into
Car Hygiene Plus, a customizable stainless steel self-service cabinet.
The first belt cleaners
To strengthen its position in the industrial sector, Tecnovap upgrades the Steam Box line with a new turbine vacuum cleaner and a electronic display that provides full function control of the generator. At the same time, the first conveyor belt steam cleaning systems begin to spread.
Steam Sky: a new ally for the environment
Following the introduction of EU regulations aimed at banning the use of glyphosates, Tecnovap presents a new steam generator designed for ecologic weed control: Steam Sky.
New models join the range
Hydrobox joins the stainless steel line: an electric, low-consumption high-pressure washer with adjustable temperature up to 90°C. Additionally, the Steam Power model is redesigned, joined by two new versions: Steam Power Plus & Steam Turbo.
Tecnovap's aid against Covid-19
In response to the Covid-19 emergency, Tecnovap develops a nebulizer accessory, essential for sanitizing healthcare environments.
Tecnovap Extreme Steam System
In collaboration with the Scandinavian distributor, Tecnovap designs T.e.s.s., an innovative cleaning method that allows users to reach and clean surfaces at height directly from the ground
New production plant
Tecnovap relocates its production and boiler assembly departments to a facility adjacent to its headquarters.
New app for mobile devices
The MyTecnovap app is launched, allowing users to easily monitor steam generators in real-time via Bluetooth directly from their devices.
Steam-X and Steam Turbo Brush
New products are born: Steam-X, a superheated steam gun that allows steam to reach 130°C, certified for eliminating bed bugs and their eggs; Steam Turbo Brush, a battery-powered steam and vacuum brush for deep cleaning of carpets, rugs, and and other types of floors.
40 years of business
Tecnovap celebrate its fortieth anniversary.
AFNOR NF-T72-110
The EVO range models have been classified as SDD (Steam Disinfection Devices)
in accordance with the AFNOR NF T 72-110 standard and can replace or complement traditional
chemical disinfectants, offering a low environmental impact alternative.
This standard covers steam disinfection processes, with or without direct contact, that provide bactericidal and virucidal activity. It has gained international recognition as it establishes strict criteria to verify whether a steam jet is truly capable of eliminating harmful microorganisms across various fields, from medical to domestic applications.
